This is a hydroform node, made for terraforming extraterrestrial planets, a planet is bombarded with ice and water meteors to then get heated up and form clouds, a hydroform node takes the formed clouds and converts it into liquid water while  distilling and purifying it from other vaporized chemicals mixed in the air, then the prepared water gets pumped out to different places of the planet. The fish is a bioindicator organism, if the fish survives the water is biologically safe, colonists use these as environmental diagnostics.

for the overall design I got inspired by Frutiger aero aesthetics, and solar punk concepts for the conceptualization. I thought the result is something you would find in terraria, so i composed the soundtrack to sound a bit like terraria's making it a pixel art Frutiger aero-solar punk mix style. 

I wanted to get a liminal feeling, or nostalgic feeling, I'm not sure how i got it but i did, to get it i deliberately let some elements of the composition feel off or odd, as in liminal spaces, something that has to do with the lightning, the only thing that casts shadows on this scene are the suctioned clouds and they only cast shadows within themselves, the rest is composition, for example the shadow casted by the device is actually a transparent cube, the shadows casted on the grass by the unimplied clouds are shaders, nothing casts shadows because almost every object's material has emission turned on.

The process 

i like using blender for creating 2d like stuff, playing with shaders and programming animations with geometry nodes, so a rough quick sketch took me a few hours and i got this:

Then i started conceptualizing and using my references. 

at first i wanted to make it look as an infinite water body rendered within the boundaries of a cube but it looked as normal water but i ignored that. i used geometry nodes and the shader editor for the water, noise texture for the displacement (using geonodes) and i animated a voronoid texture for the water texturing, The caustics are a voronoid texture on a plane, also seen over the fish. 

animating the text was easy, i wanted it to look like a converged human language from the future, i used a font called stray (i think this font is from that game also called stray, never played it). I animated it arranging different texts and glitched versions in a 2d image, then animated the texture coordinates of the plane what will have the text.

the pipes are transporting water, thats all, it may look weird but it is just moving water. i used geometry nodes for that animation specifically using a waves texture for scaling the pipe across a spline curve.

the grass is just 4d noise texture setting the position of each vertex overtime.

i didnt know how to make it loop perfectly so i leaved it as so.

 made only with blender (except the text texture, it was made using Photopea)

As for the music, i wanted it to sound nostalgic and chill, i tried to get as close as the visual feeling i had at that time making the scene, So i chose the Mixolydian scale becase of the bVII, and 9th chords, a slow pace rhythm and sounds akin to the style (lofi old school frutiger, chiptune) i produced it with FL studio 

The sound effects are some folley, others are sounds i found in the internet and some i did with synthesizers
